Ever feel like taking high protein snacks along in the car and on your hike is difficult because you don’t have a refrigerator with you at all times? Below are some easy, on-the-go, high protein snacks to take anywhere with you! We almost always have these in the car, in our hiking packs and in my purse for when we just need a little pick me up. These snacks also tag along in our lunch pails when we start craving something at work and need to curb that craving.
1) Starkist Tuna Creations Tuna Packets - The Thai Chili Style is one of my absolute favorites but I have liked most of the flavors I’ve tried so far! They don’t even really taste like fish - they taste more like chicken and give you a whole lot of protein!
2) PE Science SELECT Protein - Dump one of these bad boys into your water bottle, shake it up and drink it down. This has by far been my favorite source of protein powder. PE Science has SO many good flavors! And it’s a bonus because most of their flavors can be used in baking things like banana bread, peanut butter style baked goods, and cupcakes! And we can’t forget the nightly protein shake that takes like a milkshake! You can get $10 off when you spend $30 on your order here!
3) The Good Bean Crunchy Chickpeas - I love these for on the go! They are crunchy and they help you get rid of that craving for crunchy chips! The Sea Salt flavor has been my favorite so far. The other flavors are great but their seasonings don’t stick to the chickpeas well so the flavor is more muted than you anticipate. I like to buy these from Thrive Market (and sometimes I can find them at TJMaxx or Marshalls). You can get 40% off your first Thrive Market order here! Thrive market is an online grocery delivery service that has super fast shipping and GREAT customer service + support!
4) Chomps Beef Sticks - These go everywhere with us! They have great flavor and provide a great source of protein. We like all the flavors that Chomps has - if you like a little spice, try the jalapeno one! It’s delicious! You can get the best deal for these at Thrive Market if you buy a case (again - you can get 40% off your first order here!) You can usually find these at most local grocery stores as well but they are typically sold as single sticks, not as a bulk pack.
5) RX Bars - These travel really well! They are small so they can be carried almost anywhere. There are also SOOOO many flavors to choose from! The coconut chocolate and the mint chocolate are some of my favorites! You can usually get these for the best price at your local neighborhood Walmart.
